Town of Garner Parks & Recreation Department's Fee Policy: The Parks and Recreation Department is an agency of the Town of Garner and receives municipal tax revenue paid by residents living inside the corporate limits of the Town. Others who live outside the corporate limits are charged a higher rate for participation in our programs because they do not pay Town taxes. The policy for application of this fee differential is as follows: You must live inside the corporate limits of Garner at the time of your registration in order to be charged the Town of Garner resident rate. All others will be charged the non-resident rate. Inclement Weather Policy: During inclement weather that creates dangerous or hazardous conditions, the Parks and Recreation Department programs will as a general rule, follow the Wake County Public School System’s closing schedule. Since this may not always be the case, participants are encouraged to call for program information if they have questions. All participants are requested not to participate in any recreational activity that they consider to be dangerous or unsafe for any reason, including weather conditions.
